GENERAL (about sailing)

Do I need sailing experience?

No experience needed we will teach you all the basics. All you need is a will to try.

What to wear and bring?

• Soft-soled shoes or deck shoes. No hard soled shoes, high heels, boots or black soles permitted on deck.
• Hat, gloves and sunglasses.
• Comfortable outdoor clothing to suit the weather on the day.
• Sunscreen and lip balm.
• We will provide life jackets.

Do I need to buy sailing gear for the program?

No, we will provide sailing gear.

Is there an age restriction?

No, anybody can take part on our programs.

Do you still go sailing in bad weather?

We make decisions based on safety and comfort. Programs will be rescheduled based on excessive rain and wind strength, storm warnings and other abnormal conditions. We want you to love sailing!

Where is Adriatic Challenge Office located?

Our Charter base is located in Marina Kornati, Biograd n/M, in the center of the Riviera. The place is ideal: Biograd and its surroundings are nowadays fashionable sailing and yachting destination, a well-known tourist and nautical site. We are ideally situated to host your events. The charm of the Mediterranean seaside will surely make an unforgettable impression for the participants.

What qualifications do your skippers have?

Our skippers have instructor certifications and extensive sailing experience. AC skippers are hired only after a rigorous selection process in which each and every candidate must pass challenging competency exams both written and on-the-water.

GENERAL (about the program)

What places of interest can be visited as part of the program?

Three National Parks and a Nature Park, the Kornati Archipelago and Lake Vrana are the most important tourist attractions.

Where do we sleep?

Our programs recommend overnight on boats, that belongs closely to experience the spirit of sailing. Of course we can arrange for accommodation at nearby hotels on demand.

Is it comfortable to stay on a boat?

For 6+2 persons the Bavaria 42 match guarantees harmony of convenience and relaxing. Spacious saloon, commodious kitchen with large fridge, 3 cabins with comfortable beds, roomy bathroom with shower and toilette, hot water in cabin as well as in deck shower, Webasto heating and cockpit bimini top are the guaranty to unforgettable relaxing stay.

Where do we eat?

 Depending on the specific program breakfast / lunch / dinner are either at restaurant or on board.

Do we have leisure time?

Depending on the length of the program we planned some leisure time for the participants. Anyway, if you definitely require leisure time we will fit it to your program.

What is the minimum and maximum size of people?

Any group size can be managed, anyway, you get the most economic price / person if you count with 6 persons per boat in case of team building program (+1 skipper, +1 outdoor trainee), and 7 persons per boat (+1 skipper) in case of corporate entertainment program.

Can I plan my company’s program on my own without contacting you?

Yes, we have an Event Calculator on our website. The only thing you have to do is to ask for a password. Entering our system you will be able to plan the complete program on your own. You will be able to add or cancel items according to your budget.

Is it expensive to participate on a corporate sailing program?

No other form of hospitality can be compared with the cost-effectiveness of a group sailing experience. You can get the chance to host your guests in an exciting and luxurious way at a very reasonable cost. Moreover, it helps you save taxes, as the costs of this experience are fully accountable as company expenses.

TEAM BUILDING PROGRAM

How long does a Team Building Program take?

Our Team Building Program (TBP) has different sections. Our 1 Day long Standard TBP contains two sections, the Basics of sailing and the Team’s Practice Sailing. Our 3 Day long Standard TBP is completed with further two sections, Trial Race and Sailing Race. Anyway, the schedule of your Team Building Program will be tailored exactly to your needs.

What is “Team Building Plus”?

If you select this option, we can help your team to transform the sailing experience into real change at work. By pre-interviews, we can deliver a real tailor-made program and by follow-up workshops we can help the team to adapt new ways of operation in order to become a High Performing Team.

What is “Team Building + Incentive”?

If you want to “prize” your team after the hard work of the TBP, you have the possibility to take your team for a relaxing and beautiful sailing tour. You can visit the fantastic waterfalls of the Krka National Park or have fun together with your team members in the wonderful bays of Kornati Island.

Why do you think sailing is suitable for team building purposes?

Sailing is a very effective sport for facilitating team building. It is a perfect solution to activate your team members to cooperate and tolerate each other, improve communication and competitive skills, enhance their problem solving and crisis managing skills, to rely on each other and strengthen team cohesion. When on a boat together the performance of each member of the team but also synergy can be improved considerably.

Our TBPs are led by highly experienced external trainers/consultants, who have been working successfully with leading corporations for many years. Our trainers will closely work with you to understand your needs and develop a tailor-made training program especially to your problems. Pre-interviews of our Team Building Plus (see above) are highly offered in your case.

What occasion is it possible to combine with sailing?

You can combine almost any corporate events with sailing. You can celebrate company anniversary, organize press conference, partners’ or suppliers’ meeting, or you can use the sailing event for staff rewards and incentives, incentives for your distributors, or simply to have fun with your team.

How long does a Corporate Entertainment Program take?

We have sample programs lasting from 1 to 4 days. But every corporate event is different. We will listen to your needs (focus of the program, time schedule, group size, budget etc.) and will offer a really tailor-made solution meeting your expectations.
